Krishna Life-ISKCON Bangalore presents, Janmashtami Art & Music (JAM) Fest, an eclectic Inter-gated Community cultural fiesta, a grand celebration of our rich culture and tradition.
JAM Fest is an all-encompassing and inclusive cultural melange that offers its participants, across all age groups, a platform to partake in a plethora of performing and non-performing arts like Dance, Music, Theatre, Chants, Costumes, Art, Oratory and Literary events.
 With more than 30 solo and team contests, over 1000 prizes up for grabs, a rolling trophy for the best performing gated community, and a surprise gift for every participant, the fest is aimed at nurturing the spirit of collaboration and cooperation through collective celebration.

Sacred Chants - Bhagavad Gita Shloka Chanting (Solo/Team)
- For Gita shlokas refer only to Bhagavad-gita As It Is by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
- For Team events, Team Size: 2 to 4 members.
- No. of shlokas: Minimum 3 Maximum 15
- Maximum Duration (Solo) : 3 minutes
- Maximum Duration (Team): 10 minutes
- For the audition, you are required to video record the Solo/Team performance and upload it.
- Process to upload the video recording will be communicated to you shortly.

Guidelines to Participate
Art – Colouring (Solo)
- Colouring sheets will be provided.
- Stationery items like pens, pencils, color pencils, crayons, eraser, writing pad etc., should be brought by the participants.
- Duration: 90 minutes.Â

- Judgement criteria: Creativity, visual appeal and presentation.
Art – Pencil Shading/Painting (Solo)
- Plain sheets will be provided.
- Theme should be Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Any other theme shall be disqualified.
- Stationery items like pens, pencils, paints, brushes, writing pad etc., should be brought by the participants.
- Duration: 90 minutes

Art – Handwriting (Solo)

- Participants should bring their own materials.

- Enactment with dialogues in English language is compulsory.
- Enactment of Puranic characters.Â
- Dialogues and enactment from movie scenes are not allowed.

- Duration: For Story Telling – 3 minutes; For Elocution – 2 minutes; For Krishna Rhymes – 1 minute

- There shall only be ramp-walk and no dialogue delivery facility.
- Participants may dress up as Radha and Krishna.Â
- Alternatively, child may dress up as Krishna and the mother as Yashoda.

- Questions will be from the book, Krishna – The Supreme Personality of Godhead by Srila Prabhupada.Â
- Chapter 1 to 5 for 9 to <12 years
- Chapter 7 to 17 for 12 to <15 years Â
- Chapter 42 to 52 for 15 to <18 years
- Chapter 70 to 85 for Family Team
